General Prosecutor, Olsian Çela, participated in the annual meeting held in Palermo, Italy, in honor of Italian magistrate Paolo Borsellino.
At the meeting held on July 18 and 19, 2025, where representatives of prosecutors' offices from European and Latin American countries were invited, issues related to international judicial cooperation in the context of the challenges posed by transnational organized crime were discussed.
In his speech at one of the conference sessions, the Prosecutor General presented Albania's progress in the fight against money laundering from the prosecution's perspective.
He emphasized the progress made by Albania in recent years and outlined the legal framework and institutional administrative measures undertaken, which create the necessary conditions for intensifying international cooperation in the effective targeting of criminal assets derived from criminal activities.
