The coordination of the work between judicial structures and the police on the protection of minors’ rights.

The representatives from the General Prosecutor's Office and the heads of the prosecution offices of Fier and Saranda judicial districts participated in the training called "The role of the police according to the Code of Criminal Justice for Minors and the Law on the Protection of the Rights of Child" organized with the support of UNICEF and the Government of the United Kingdom.

The information on the basic principles of Juvenile Justice in the Constitution of the Republic of Albania, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as the coordination of police activity with the judicial structures and those of the child protection were the main topics of this training.

The representatives from the General Prosecutor's Office, Mrs. Blerina Lule, Coordinator for the Citizens with a Special Status and Mrs. Neviana Kurteshi, Judicial Police Officer addressed the topics of online sexual violence against minors and handling cases of online sexual abuse, interviewing techniques as well as establishing a long-term communication with the minor victim.

The General Prosecutor's Office is cooperating with all actors to increase inter-institutional cooperation concerning issues related to minors.
