Tirana Prosecution Seeks 23 Years in Prison for I.B. After G.B.'s Killing in His Yard

Tirana Prosecution Office sought the guilty declaration citizen I.B., also known as B or M, for the criminal offenses of 'Premeditated Murder' committed in complicity, ‘Manufacture and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition,' at his residence, and ‘Falsification or use of falsified identity documents, passports or visas,' as stipulated in Articles 78/1 and 25, 278/4, and 189/1 of the Criminal Code.
The investigations of criminal proceeding no. 1944 of 2024, proved that on March 15, 2024, armed people, after crossing the outer perimeter of G.B.’s residence, have entered the yard and shot several times with firearms at citizen G.B., resulting in his immediate death. A few minutes after the incident, a Land Rover vehicle used by the perpetrators at the crime scene, was found burning along a secondary road in the village of Hasan, Fushë Krujë.
Gathered evidence shows that the defendant I.B., at different times before this incident, was in the vicinity of the location where the residence of citizen G.B. is located. This is proven by the examination of the GPS data from the vehicle he had rented.
In view of the biological DNA expert report, it was concluded that the black Volkswagen Golf, owned by citizen E.H. (arrested on March 19, 2024), which was used by the perpetrators to flee immediately after the Land Rover vehicle was set on fire in the village of Hasan, Fushë Krujë, contained the genetic profiles of citizens I.B., also known as I.B. or I.M. (arrested on March 19, 2024), and F.P., also known as F.Si or F.M. These persons are suspected of having played a role in the execution/murder of citizen G.B. on March 15, 2024, in the village of Larush, Fushë Krujë. 
Following the investigative actions, the names of the persons under investigation were registered in connection with criminal proceeding no. 1944 of 2024. On February 28, 2025, a separate case, numbered 1944/2 of 2024, was initiated concerning citizen I.B. The evidence gathered during the investigation identifies that the defendant I.B. worked together with other people, playing the role of an accomplice and committed the crime in complicity. 
Consequently, Tirana Prosecution Office requested that:
The defendant I.B. (also known as Brahimi and Mançellari) be declared guilty of the criminal offense of 'Premeditated Murder' committed in collaboration, as defined under Articles 78/1 and 25 of the Criminal Code, and based on these provisions, sought a sentence of 21 (twenty-one) years in prison.
The defendant I.B. (also known as Brahimi and Mançellari) be declared guilty of the criminal offense of 'Manufacture and Illegal Possession of Weapons, Explosives, and Ammunition,' at his residence, as stipulated in Article 278/4 of the Criminal Code, and based on this provision, sought a sentence of 2 (two) years in prison.
The defendant I.B. be declared guilty of the criminal offense of 'Falsification or Use of Falsified Identification Cards, Passports, or Visas,' as stipulated in Article 189/1 of the Criminal Code, and based on this provision, sought a sentence of 1 (one) year in prison.
Pursuant to Article 55 of the Criminal Code, the Prosecution requested the consolidation of the aforementioned sentences into a single sentence, ultimately seeking the defendant I.B.'s sentence to be set at 23 (twenty-three) years of imprisonment.
