The patient has passed away; Fier Prosecution Office takes to court the doctor of Fier Regional Hospital for the criminal offense of " Recless medication."
The Prosecution Office at Fier Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction has concluded its investigations and has sent for trial the criminal proceeding against the citizen S.B., a medical professional at the Emergency Department of Fier Regional Hospital, accused of the criminal offense of "Reckless medication," as provided for in Article 96/2 of the Criminal Code.
Out of the investigations, it was proven that the accused S.B. did not act in accordance with the medical protocol accepted for the patient A.N.'s disease, and that the patient's transportation did not adhere to the medical protocol with a specialized team.
As a consequence of the negligence in medical treatment, the citizen A.N. passed away.
