General Prosecutor, Mr. Adriatik Lalla, meets the Croatian counterpart, Mr. Dinko Zvitan

The General Prosecutor, Mr. Adriatik Llalla, held a meeting with his Croatian counterpart, Mr. Dinko Zvitan, where it was discussed the possibilities of cooperation and exchange of information in real time on the fight against organized crime and corruption.

The Prosecution Office of Croatia, which has made a significant contribution on the membership of the country in the European Union, is regarded as a successful investigative structure in the Balkan region and this is why the Prosecution Office of Albania deems as important the Croatian counterparts experience.

Mr. Zvitan is invited in Albania by the European Union delegation in Tirana as an expert and will hold training session with the prosecutors, who pursue the investigations against corruption. Within this visit, Mr. Zvitan discussed with Mr. Llalla on issues of common interest, on Monday (dt.23.03.2015).
Both of them shared the same opinion that the challenges of the investigative structures are the economic crime investigation, corruption at high levels and property investigation.

The General Prosecutor, Mr. Llalla, briefly presented to his counterpart the ongoing efforts of the Albanian institution to hit the climate of impunity. In this regard, he praised the role of the Prosecution Office of Croatia in assistance to the state to achieve European standards.

The General Prosecutor of Croatia, Mr. Zvitan, will hold an open lecture on Tuesday (dt.24.03.2015) with the prosecutors dealing with economic crime and property investigation at the Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes and also Task Force Units operating at the Judicial Districts Prosecution Offices.
