On the general meeting of prosecutors for the election of Prosecutor Members in the High Council of Prosecutors
Tirana, 15.10.2021. The General Meeting of Prosecutors, announced by the General Prosecutor based on the law 115/2016 "On the governing bodies of the justice system" for the election of prosecutor members in the High Prosecution Council (HJC), was held today for the election of three members.
According to the list of the names signed, 209 prosecutors of all levels participated in the meeting.
From the voting for the prosecutor candidate from the General Prosecution, the commission announced the winner in accordance with article 115/5 of law no. 115/2016 "On the governing bodies of the justice system" the candidate Sokol Stojani, who received 195 votes while 14 votes were invalid.
From the voting for the prosecutor candidate of the Appeal Prosecutions, the commission announced the winner in accordance with article 115/5 of law no. 115/2016 "On the governing bodies of the justice system" the candidate Ludovik Dodaj who received 192 votes, while 17 votes were invalid.
From the voting for the prosecutor candidate from the first instance prosecutions it resulted that the candidate Zeqir Hoda has received the highest number of votes and is declared the winner in accordance with article 115/5 of law no. 115/2016 "On the governing bodies of the justice system" as follows:
• Mr. Zeqir Hoda 150 vota
• Ms. Deniona Katro 48 vota
• Ms. Elona Alvora 6 vota
5 votes were declared invalid.
