Prosecution Office for Serious Crime has decided the extent of preventive seizure of 2.1 million square meters of forest land, arable land and land in the tourist area in Fier, including also 1700 square meters building, as well as 3 private companies, all in the name of the citizen Fatmir Kajolli or his family, as there are reasonable suspicions that these assets are created on the basis of his criminal activity for which he was convicted in Italy.

Prosecution Office for Serious Crime has carried out verifications on the basis of the law “Anti-mafia”, based on the reference of the State Police, and has taken permission from the Court for Serious Crimes to seizure the real estate, as well as private companies registered in the name of Fatmir Kajolli, Majlinda Çuko (Kajolli) and Florim Kajolli.

The citizen Fatmir Kajolli was sentenced by the Court of Milan, Italy, in 2001, with 24 years imprisonment for the criminal offense of “Criminal association, trafficking, manufacturing and possession of narcotics”. Also, against him, the court Of Rome, in Italy, in 2000, decided the punishment of 16 years imprisonment for the criminal offense of “Participation in a criminal organization and violations of the law on narcotics”. The request of Italian authorities for the extradition of the citizen Kajolli was rejected by the court.
According to the Italian judicial decision, the citizen Kajolli has committed the activity during 2000-2001 for which he has taken two different punishments.

At the end of the procedural actions within the wealth investigation, where were included about 20 people, the main subject himself and his relatives, the prosecution office for Serious Crimes has identified assets, for which has reasonable suspicious that there are created by proceeds of criminal activity of the citizen Kajolli. These assets were allegedly created by fictitious actions, barter or donation. The investigation showed reasonable suspicious that the persons who own this property did not have real financial opportunities to create them. Major part of real estate is registered in the name of the citizen Majlinda Çuko (Kajolli).
In more details, the Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes has decided the preventive seizure of the assets as follows:

1. Land plot of 4500 m2 and building area of 1700 m2 surface, sold by Fatmir Kajolli to the citizen Majlinda Çuko (Kajolli) for 900 thousand ALL

2. Forest land, of 365,000 m2 area, bought by the citizen Majlinda Çuko (Kajolli) in the value of 60 million (new)

3. Forest land, in 5 parcels with a total surface of 576,770 m2, registered in the name of Majlinda Çuko (Kajolli), the entire surface is donated with suspicious contracts by the same persons

4. Fruitless land, in 8 parcels with a total surface of 177.600 m2, registered in the name of Majlinda Çuko (Kajolli), the entire surface is donated with suspicious contracts by the same persons who have donated other assets

5. Agricultural land, in 4 parcels with a total surface of 138.400 m2, registered in the name of Majlinda Çuko (Kajolli), the entire surface is donated with suspicious contracts by the same persons who have donated other assets
