Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes, pursuant to the "Anti-mafia" law has decided seizure of over 11 thousand square meters and buildings, including businesses, as well as about 15,300 square meters of agricultural land registered in the name of citizens DASHAMIR Gjoka, from Shijak, Durres, prosecuted for "Laundering of proceeds of crime". Initially, the Prosecution Office has received the approval of the Court for Serious Crimes to set preventive seizure to these assets.

Acts administered at the General Prosecution office, provided by the Italian authorities, shows that the citizen Dashamir Gjoka was sentenced by the Court of Appeal of Milan dated 29.11.2007 which became final on 07.10.2009, with 7 years and 6 months imprisonment for the offenses of criminal organization which aims prostitution and others. Episodes, for which the citizen DASHAMIR Gjoka was convicted, occurred in the period from 1999 to 2003. In these episodes, the citizen DASHAMIR Gjoka appears as the head of the organization that operated in Milan and Perugia, and deals with the illegally introduction of the women from Eastern Europe on the territory of the Italian citizen, for a forced prostitution and to favor and exploit prostitution.

According to the information of the Italian authorities, the citizen results as head of the organization in question and the money obtained from this criminal activity were taken to send him to Albania (DASHAMIR Gjoka). The latter, according to the evidence at trial, with the proceeds received had bought some property in Albania.
Also, in 2013, there was a warrant against this person from the court of Monxas / Italy, dated on 09.02.2002 of committing the offense of “Sexual violence”, “Shameful acts”, "Aggravated kidnapping", "Weapon possession". Based on decisions of the court, the citizens Dashamir Gjoka is internationally wanted by Interpol / Rome / Italy and on 07.06.2013 was arrested for the purpose of extradition.

The extradition process was developed in three judiciary steps in Albania, which have rejected the extradition request of the Prosecutor of Durres (as the competent prosecution, because the residence of the person investigated). In parallel with the trial of his extradition to Italy, the Prosecution of Durres has begun investigating the criminal offense of "laundering of proceeds of crime" to verify the source of his wealth, suspected to be created by illegal activity in Italy. Initially, at the request of the Prosecution Office, on 17.03.2015, the court of Durres decided preventative seizure of his wealth. But then, the same court, on 30.06.2015 ordered the removal of the preventive seizure of wealth of the citizen DASHAMIR Gjoka.

In addition the Prosecution of Durres has delegated acts of procedure to investigate property at the Serious Crimes Prosecutor's Office, which is responsible for the implementation of the "Anti-mafia" law. Under this law, the person under investigation must justify the legality of the source of his wealth.
For this reason, at the request of the Serious Crimes Prosecutor's Office, the Court for Serious Crimes has established preventive seizure of the wealth registered in the name of citizens DASHAMIR Gjoka, as follows:

1. “Kompleks Shërbimesh “Gjoka”, standing 6949 m2, of which 2012.7 m2 is the building area, and the surface of 4286.47 m2 serves to operate the actual activity;
• object divided into 3 floors - with the label "supermarket, restaurant, Motel";
• two-storey buildings- with the label "Disco Bar, gym, games room";
• ground floor building named "Coffee Bar" -; pool;
• sports center (Motel 2 rooms);
• Sports Centre, football field;
• Warehouse.
2. Orchard + land + 1800 m2 building area, located in Sallmone, Xhafzotaj.
3. Agricultural land with an area of 5090 m2, located in Sallmone, Shijak.
4. Agricultural land with an area of 5520 m2 located in Sallmone, Shijak.
5. Agricultural land located in Qerret Katund i Ri with an area of 1546 m2.
6. Building + land area of 1247 m2, building area of 230 m2 located in Sallmone Taskin, (where is set up a service building with two floors + basement, cellar area 147 m2, floor area of 710 m2).
7. Agricultural land with an area of 3110 m2, located in Sallmone, Shijak.
8. Real with an area of 928 m2 (within which is a building 160 m2 and a land 400m2).
9. Agricultural land with an area of 3700 m2 in Sallmone-Xhafzotaj.
10. Agricultural land with an area of 1980 m2 in Sallmone-Xhafzotaj.
