Saranda Prosecution Office seeks the arrest of 11 officials for permitting the construction of a 7-story building near the coastline

Eight individuals have already been apprehended by order of Saranda Prosecution Office. These arrests come after the unlawful approval and subsequent legalization of the construction of a 7-story hotel along Saranda coastline, in clear violation of existing laws. Meanwhile, three other individuals remain at large.
The 11 defendants, implicated in criminal case No. 37 of 2024, are under investigation for serious offenses including " Falsification of Documents" " Illegal construction" and "Abuse of office," as stipulated in articles 186, 199/a/4, and 248 of the Criminal Code.
Following the administration of evidence in this criminal investigation, the prosecutor has issued detention orders for 11 individuals holding various official duties and functions. Of these, eight have been successfully detained, identified as follows: 

E.S - Specialist/engineer in the Cartography Section at (DVASHK) Saranda;
E.L - Specialist/engineer in the Cartography Section at (DVASHK) Saranda;
I.P -  Specialist in the local Directorate of ASHK Saranda;
V.Q - Inspector at IVMT Saranda Municipality;
T.S - Inspector at IVMT Saranda Municipality;
O.D - Inspector at IVMT, Saranda Municipality
D.B - Specialist/inspector in the Territory Inspection Section at Vlora IKMT Regional Directorate; and
M.S - Specialist/inspector in the Territory Inspection Section at Vlora IKMT Regional Directorate; 

Efforts are ongoing by the judicial police to locate and detain the three other individuals. Saranda Prosecution is continuing its investigative efforts to identify and hold all those accountable and involved in illicit activities and violations of law while carrying out their official duties.
