Suspicion for originating from criminal activity, the Prosecutor's Office of Elbasan seizes the assets of the citizen of E.S., convicted for Criminal Offense of "Production and sale of narcotics"

In the framework of the implementation of Law No. 10192, dated 03.12.2009 "On the prevention and attack of organized crime, trafficking and corruption, through preventive measures against wealth", as amended, and the intention to attack illegal wealth or assets that are owned/ possessed by entities within the scope of this law, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, concluded with the seizure of some immovable and movable assets.

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction has registered property proceedings No. 2, of 2023, against the subject E.S., convicted by the Albanian court for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", provided for by Article 283 /2 of the Criminal Code.

After the investigative actions carried out for this property proceeding, based on the request of the prosecution, with decision No. 679, dated 24.09.2023 of the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction, it was decided to seize the assets that are suspected to originate from criminal activity:

1. Property of the type "Apartment", with an area of 61.80 m2, located in Cërrik, CZ. 1389, in the name of the citizen A.S.;

2. Property of the type "Unit" with a size of 72.60 m2, located in Cërrik, address no. 1389, in the name of the citizen A.S.

3. Audi motor vehicle, in the name of citizen E.S.;

4. Yamaha motorcycles, in the name of citizen E.S.;

5. Volkswagen vehicle, in the name of citizen E.S.
 
The investigation has shown that these assets are not justified by legal income, but they originate from the criminal activity of citizen E.S., convicted for the criminal offense of "production and sale of narcotics", provided for by Article 283/2 of the Criminal Code.

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction remains committed to the identification, sequestration and confiscation of any property that originates from illegal activity according to the provisions of the "Antimafia" law.
