The 3-year-old child dies after being treated at a clinic; the Tirana Prosecutor's Office starts investigations for “negligence in medical treatment”
Taking into account the great sensitivity of public opinion for the event where the minor with the initials .BS, lost his life after treatment in a private clinic, as well as the increased interest of the media in relation to this issue, the Tirana Prosecutor's Office would like to inform that:
The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, based on the material referred by the Police Station No. 4 to the letter No. 7057/k Prot dated 04.10.2023, has registered on 05.10.2023 criminal proceedings no. .6477 of 2023, for the criminal offense of “Negligence in medical treatment”, provided by article 96 of the Criminal Code.
The Prosecutor’s Office contunes to perform other procedural actions related to the criminal proceedings, with the aim of evidencing all the circumstances and causes of the citizen's death.
