The prime objective of the Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes: Organized crime and anti-corruption at high levels

After a successful investigation by the Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes in 2014, the General Prosecutor, Mr. Adriatik Llalla, requires from this structure to focus on cases of organized crime and corruption at various levels of public administration, which has doubts that are intertwined with one another.

At a meeting held on Wednesday (dt. 04.03.2015) with the staff of the Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes, Mr. Llalla said that, in some specific events occurred since the beginning of 2015, there are doubts that may be involved persons who are part of the state administration.

To give a more powerful impulse to the investigation of the Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes, Mr. Llalla has introduced some changes in its direction, which, based on his estimation are the proof that the General Prosecution Office, in cooperation with law enforcement institutions and the concrete support of international partners, is committed to maximally identify, investigate and bring to justice every nationals, including high-level officials.

Appreciating the role of the current leaders of the Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes, Mr. Eugen Beci, the General Prosecutor stated that he commanded in this position z. Adnan Xholi, who is currently the Director of Investigation at the General Prosecution Office.

Mr. Beci is commanded to lead the Prosecution Office of Elbasan District, one of the districts charged with numerous investigations. In this position, he replaces Mr. Gent Osmani, who will lead the Task Force Unit against Corruption and property Investigation at the Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes.
