Tirana Prosecution Office has recorded the criminal case No. 1578 dated 29th of February 2024 regarding the criminal offense "Destruction of property by fire" as provided for in Article 151 of the Criminal Code.
Initiated without specific individuals under investigation, this criminal proceeding aims to scrutinize the fire incident that transpired on the first floor of the Emergency Department at 'Mother Teresa' Hospital Center during the early morning hours of the 11th of February 2024.

In pursuit of a comprehensive investigation, the prosecution office has ordered the collection of all pertinent evidence so as to document both the cause and the extent of the damage incurred, while also striving to identify the individuals accountable for the destruction.
Through the administration of procedural acts and expert acts, a conclusion will be reached regarding the cause of the fire and the initial blaze.
