"Exploitation of Prostitution" and "Laundering the Proceeds of Criminal Offence or Criminal Activity"; Elbasan Prosecution Office appropriates the assets of two individuals.
The Prosecution Office at Elbasan First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction has imposed a preventive seizure on the assets of citizen U.K., facing charges for the criminal offenses of "Exploitation of Prostitution" and " Laundering the Proceeds of Criminal Offence or Criminal Activity," as stipulated by Articles 114 and 287 of the Criminal Code.
Upon the prosecutor's request, regarding the criminal proceedings No. 977 of the year 2023, the court decided on the seizure of an apartment in the building 583/4, Floor 1, Apartment 19, spanning 105 m2, identified with property number 5/287+1-19, in Lagja e Re.
Concurrently, the Prosecution Office at Elbasan First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, within the scope of ongoing asset proceedings from the year 2020 has also appropriated the assets belonging to citizen A.K., notably a two-floor property, inclusive of a bar, restaurant, and hotel in Cërrik along with a luxurious 'Lamborghini' vehicle.
Upon conducting investigative procedures, there arises suspicion that the appropriated assets are linked to criminal activities carried out by the aforementioned citizen, who had been previously convicted in Belgium for the offense of 'Trafficking and Exploitation of Prostitution.'
