"Providing assistance for illegal crossing" and "Resistance to police officers", a citizen arrested, Kukës Prosecution Office initiates criminal proceedings against a police officer
Today, on 05th December 2022, the Regional Directorate of AMP (Police Supervisory Agency) Dibër/Kukës in cooperation with the police services of DVP (Local Police Directorate) of Kukës, under the direction of the Prosecution Office of the Judicial District of Kukës, have arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen:
1. K.Gj., a resident in Tirana. The arrest of this citizen was made for the Criminal Offense of "Providing assistance for illegal crossing carried out in cooperation" as well as "Resistance to police officers".
The following citizens were also declared wanted:
- E.M., born in Fier ; and
- E.H., born in Fier.
These citizens in cooperation with each other were transporting 13 foreign citizens from MENA third countries to Kosova.
In the quality of material evidence, a rented Volkswagen van was seized.
During the police operation to neutralize the aforementioned perpetrators, a foreign citizen (clandestine) with the initials M.H., of Egyptian nationality, was injured.
Regarding the above, the Prosecution Office of the Kukës Judicial District has ordered the initiation of criminal proceedings against the police officer K.B. of the DVP Kukës, who was part of the police operation, for the crime of "Serious injury due to negligence", provided for by Article 91 of the Criminal Code. Work is underway to clarify the circumstances of the case.
