On Friday (dt. 05.22.2015) in a special meeting, organized by the General Prosecutor, Mr. Adriatik Llalla, leaders of local Prosecution Offices and of General Prosecution Office were introduced to the goals of the Government, presented by the Minister of Justice, Mr. Nasip Naço.
Minister of Justice stated that "in reliance to five priorities for the process of integration into the European Union, the basic objectives for the justice system comprise:

- Strengthening the independence of the justice institutions
- Fight against corruption
- Fight against organized crime
- Respect for human rights
- Inter-institutional cooperation.

After a deeply presentation of the recommendations of the Council of Ministers by Mr. Naço, the General Prosecutor said that "these goals are the same as those that the Prosecution Office is based until now" and that it "is a clear proof that the authorities in Albania are oriented toward European integration".

Continuing further, Mr. Llalla said that "Prosecution Office continuously has taken into consideration the suggestions of the Council of Ministers, by combining them with criminal policy that follows the Prosecution Office and, increasingly, based on criminal law and penal procedure".

Speaking to the leaders of the local Prosecution Offices, General Prosecutor further added that: "I believe you are aware of the attitude of the Minister of Justice at the Law Commission a few days ago, where among other things, addressed some criticism for our institution based on conclusions of some inspections conducted by the Ministry of Justice last year.

In fact, it is very important that the reviews of domestic and international partners to be maximally assessed from all the leading levels in the Prosecution Office body.
Moreover, that these criticisms come from a former prosecutor, who knows our institution and his views are certainly in terms of improving our work.

On the other hand, on your behalf, I would like to thank the Minister of Justice for the ongoing support it has given to the institution of the Prosecution Office in strengthening institutional capacity".
The Council of Ministers, through the Minister of Justice, forwards to the Prosecution Office its recommendations in the fight against crime, in accordance with Article 54/1 of the Law no. 8737, dated 12.02.2001 "On the organization and functioning of the Prosecutor of the Republic of Albania".
