Arqilea Koça Appointed Deputy General Prosecutor

Mr. Arqilea Koça has been appointed as the new Deputy General Prosecutor. The decision was taken by the General Prosecutor, Mr. Olsian Çela, taking into consideration the opinions of the prosecutors within the General Prosecutor’s Office during the relevant meeting.
Mr. Koça currently serves as the head of the Judicial Directorate at the General Prosecutor’s Office and has been serving as a prosecutor at this institution since 1994. Over the years, he has contributed in every aspect of the institution's work, in addition to overseeing various sectors and directorates.
Mr. Koça began his service in the Albanian prosecution system in 1989 as a prosecutor at Korça Prosecution Office, marking the start of his 30-year career. He led Devoll Prosecution Office until 1994, when he was transferred to the General Prosecutor’s Office.
Mr. Koça is a graduate of the Faculty of Political and Legal Sciences, Department of Law, University of Tirana (1985–1989) and holds the title of Master in Law.
Additionally, Mr. Koça has served as a part- time lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Tirana University, the Faculty of Law, “Luarasi” University, and the School of Magistrates, where he also contributes as an expert in continuous training.
Mr. Koça is the author of several monographs and manuals, primarily focused on the areas of human trafficking and cybercrime.
