Albanian prosecutors and judicial police officers discussed the latest techniques for the investigation of money laundering, with the experts of TRACFIN, which is a special office for the fight against financial crime of the Republic of France, during a 3-day seminar held at the General Prosecution Office.

General Prosecution Office approves the 2015-2017 Medium-Term Strategy

The General Prosecution asks by the Albanian Parliament the authorization to “arrest” the citizen Mark Frroku, as the Belgian judicial authorities have issued an international arrest warrant, according to which he has carried out the criminal offense of premeditated murder in collaboration, provided by Article 66 and 394 of the Criminal Code of Belgium.

The General Prosecutor, Mr. Adriatik Llalla, held a meeting with his Croatian counterpart, Mr. Dinko Zvitan, where it was discussed the possibilities of cooperation and exchange of information in real time on the fight against organized crime and corruption.

The General Prosecution seeks authorization by the Parliament of Albania to arrest the MPs Tom Doshi and Mark Frroku, based on Article 73/2 of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania.

The Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes, following the initiated investigations mainly for the crime of "murder of public officials", attempted, provided by Article 79/a and 22 of the Criminal Code, launched on the basis of public statements of the Member of the Albania Parliament, Mr. Tom Doshi, has taken on Thursday (05/03/2015) his statements, as well as materials which support his attitude expressed in the media.

After a successful investigation by the Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes in 2014, the General Prosecutor, Mr. Adriatik Llalla, requires from this structure to focus on cases of organized crime and corruption at various levels of public administration, which has doubts that are intertwined with one another.

The General Prosecutor, Mr. Adriatik Llalla, has ordered the Prosecution Office for the Serious Crime to launch the investigations mainly on the statements of Mr. Doshi, a member of the Parliament, who declared publicly on Monday (dt. 02.03.2015), that there was an assassination attempts on him and another deputy, a few years ago.

The Prosecution Office for Serious Crimes, following the investigation initiated on the basis of reference material and in cooperation with the State Police, has created reasonable doubts on the involvement of some persons on TNT explosion acts or attempted, dated on 02.10.2015 in Tirana.
